Y posts — star pickets — are the standard driven fence post for Australia, New Zealand and much of Africa. Leeter rolls Y posts in four weight classes from 1.58 to 2.04 kg/m in eleven lengths from 0.45m to 3.0m, powder-coated black or green, or hot-dip galvanized, bundled and palletized for export.

What is the difference between a Y post and a T post?
The Y (star) section is the Australian/New Zealand standard — three flanges at 120°, driven with a rammer and clipped to the wire. The studded T post is the North American pattern with a spade plate and studs. We roll both — specify by destination market.
Which weight class should I order?
1.58 kg/m suits gardens and light stock lines; 1.86–1.90 kg/m is the common farm standard; 2.04 kg/m for hard ground, long spans and high-tension fence. Heavier classes drive straighter in stony ground.
